Raiders Overpower Raccoons in High-Scoring Showdown
The Raiders exploded offensively to defeat the Raccoons in a wild, high-scoring contest that featured momentum swings, hat tricks, and dominant individual performances.
The game opened with Erik Fowlie getting the Raccoons on the board early, finishing a feed from Paul Sanders to make it 1–0. The Raiders responded immediately, as Tawan buried one from Brandon Vick to tie the game. From there, the Raiders seized control of the first period. Vick scored unassisted, Jonas added another solo effort, and Vick struck again—this time set up by supersub Jonas—to stretch the lead.
The Raccoons showed fight midway through the period. Alex Brito finished a play started by Fowlie, and Fowlie added his second of the night unassisted to keep it competitive. However, the Raiders kept pouring it on. CJ Gamble scored off a pass from Tan, and Jonas capped the period with his second of the night off a slick setup from Vick and Gamble. The Raiders carried a commanding lead into the second.
Period two was all Raiders. Gamble completed his hat trick with two goals in the frame—one unassisted and one from Vick. Jonas recorded his third of the night off a feed from Tawan, while Brandon netted back-to-back goals to reach four on the evening. Jonas added his fourth unassisted, and Tan joined the scoring party off a nice passing play from Tawan and Gamble. Fowlie managed the lone Raccoons goal of the period, completing his hat trick unassisted, but the Raiders’ relentless attack left little doubt about the outcome heading into the third.
In the final period, Fowlie continued to battle, scoring his fourth of the game from Sanders. Vick answered with his fifth goal, assisted by Tan. Brito notched his second of the night off a strong shift with Fowlie and Sanders, and Fowlie struck again unassisted for his fifth tally of the game. Gamble closed out his four-goal performance with another from Brandon before Alex completed his hat trick late, finishing a pass from Fowlie.
Despite five goals from Erik Fowlie and a hat trick from Alex Brito, the Raccoons couldn’t overcome the Raiders’ offensive depth. Brandon Vick led the way with five goals and four assists, Jonas added four goals, CJ Gamble scored four of his own, and Tawan and Tan chipped in key assists and goals.
It was an offensive clinic from the Raiders and a night full of highlight-reel performances on both sides.
Tsunami Overwhelm Kryptonite in Offensive Onslaught
The Tsunami delivered a tidal wave of offense, overpowering Kryptonite in a dominant performance highlighted by monster individual nights and unstoppable chemistry between linemates.
From the opening puck drop, it was clear the Tsunami top line came to play. Reuven scored four consecutive goals in the first period—each one set up by Kevin Makela, who tallied four assists in a remarkable stretch of playmaking. Kryptonite managed to respond late in the period when Jock found the back of the net off a setup from Andy Xie and Markus, but the Tsunami still carried a commanding lead into the second.
Kryptonite showed brief signs of life in the middle frame as Xie scored unassisted early in the period. However, any momentum was quickly washed away. Reuven struck again—his fifth of the night—again with Kevin picking up the assist. Paul Gomes added an unassisted marker, and Reuven completed a double hat trick with his sixth goal, this time assisted by Adam Simpson. The Tsunami continued to pull away.
The third period only added to the offensive showcase. Makela took over the scoring touch himself, netting four goals in the frame—one unassisted and two more set up by Paul, as the duo developed strong chemistry. Reuven added his seventh off a feed from Gomes, and later combined with Gomes again to help Kevin score his fourth of the game.
Kryptonite’s Xie added his second unassisted goal of the night, but it was merely a brief interruption. Gomes scored his second goal off Makela’s sixth assist, and Reuven closed the scoring with his eighth goal of the game, finishing a play started by Gomes.
Reuven led all scorers with an incredible eight-goal performance, while Kevin Makela recorded four goals and six assists in a dominant all-around effort. Paul Gomes added two goals and five assists, contributing to one of the most explosive team performances of the season.
In the end, the Tsunami lived up to their name—relentless, powerful, and impossible to contain.
